It okay. Don’t be cry.

Bacon apparently just doesn’t do well with sadness.

Today I found out that my dog back home got acute leukemia and had to be put down. I sent Bacon a message about it and his reply was just, “Nooooooooooooo.”

I tried to slog on through the conversation anyway and mentioned that this is the third dog my family has lost in as many years. His reply?

“Oh, your pets just need you at home.”

I gave up after explaining that the first had been 15 years old, the other ended up having uncontrollable aggressive behavior that ended in a terrible accident, and the most recent one was fine in June and suddenly and rapidly developed cancer, and I highly doubted that my being there would have changed any of it.

Bacon, you are good for so many things. But dealing with my sad is not one of them.
